Journey from Madeira Airport to Pestana Ocean Bay All Inclusive

Driver was half an hour late for pickup at airport, and he did not speak a Word at all. Pickup at the hotel was on time, but the car was to small, so the driver had problems whit the space for our luggage. And he was not smiling.

Journey from Madeira Airport to Pestana Carlton Madeira

Taxi driver from airport to hotel was great. Nice clean Mercedes and very safe smooth journey. However the return journey was completely different. Local yellow taxi turned up - it smelled awful (sweat and smoke). The driver took calls and read texts on his phone the whole way - not even on hands free - so dangerous. My Portuguese isn't great but I could tell he was booking other jobs, giving prices etc.

Journey from Madeira Airport to Calheta

Driver was waiting for us at the airport, helped with our bags and then carried them into our villa. The pick up was a little late as he couldn’t find the address but he was very apologetic and we were still at the airport with plenty of time
