Journey from Aosta to Chamonix

We got an initial price of 300 EUR from Aosta to Chamonix because the Mt Blanc tunnel was closed(as informed by you). The trip supposed to last around 2.5hours, passing by the Grand Saint Bernard Tunnel. However, it was a surprised for me that the MT Blanc tunnel was not actually closed and at the end we did the transfer from Aosta to Chamonix in about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Half of the time but still the same price (300 EUR). Could you please clarify?

Simple to use site, might be useful to be able to specify size of vehicle- obviously in normal situations the number of people is a good guide but travelling with a wheelchair makes things a little more complicated
