About Alpinbus

Alpinbus is your ultimate choice to private airport transfers in the Alpine region across southern Germany, Austria, Switzerland, French and the Italian Alps . Our experienced drivers will wait you upon your arrival and will drive you from the airport, railway station, hotel or anywhere you need.

With a private transfer, your trip is set up for comfort, speed and freedom. You no longer have to study the routes and schedules of public transport, frantically check the time for fear of being late and carry heavy luggage.

We use 8-seater minibuses, so any group up to this number on a private transfer would normally travel together in one vehicle. If you book a private transfer for 10 passengers, you will leave in two private minibuses as soon as you arrive. You can spread the group over both minibuses, however you would like.

Minibuses are fully equipped for safe Alpine driving - air conditioning, snow tyres and chains.

Vehicles in the fleet

Alpinbus fleet consists of long wheel base 8-seater Volkswagen, Renault, Opel, Mercedes and Ford minibuses and they are new. We usually rotate our vehicles every 2 and a half years so you can rest assured that you will always be collected in an up-to-date model.

Minibuses are fully equipped for safe Alpine driving - air condition, snow tyres, chains, etc.

Journey from Salzburg Airport to Hörhager

On our arrival in Salzburg Airport we were met promptly by our driver for the transfer to our resort. The driver was tidy enough in appearance and loaded our luggage into the minibus. The journey to our resort was concerning as our driver was giving us cause for concern when attempting to use his mobile phone and attending to the satnav whilst driving. This resulted in the vehicle wandering across lanes at speed. The vehicle itself was well presented however had a very irritating misfire which worsened when accelerating making the journey erratic. It took approx 2 hours to get to our destination however during the final 45 mins I detected the driver being tired at the wheel and at one point I had to point out that we needed to exit the motorway so not to miss our turning. During our trip the driver pulled into some services to hand over some paperwork to someone and on departing the car park pulled out into the path of a lorry which had to take evasive action including sounding his horn and flashing headlights. We eventually arrived on time greatly relieved the journey was over. Our return journey couldn't have been better. Our driver was there to collect us from our resort 15 minutes early and the journey was superb! He was extremely considerate to other road users and maintained excellent control of the vehicle at all times.

Dear Barry, Thank you for your feedback, we have investigated this case and spoken to both drivers. On the way to the resort driver wasn't setting his navigation, he just had to confirm the location of his colleague. Later during the transfer he had to make a short stop and pass documents to the colleague, who was waiting for him. The driver was not tired - during the last week he was driving maximum two transfers per day, also considering the fact that he had a one day off. This is second time we have used Aplinbus and we were not disappointed. Comfortable and well kept vehicles, friendly and professional drivers. We got stuck in bad traffic due to an accident and they quickly diverted to ensure we made our flight home. I would always use Alpinbus.

Journey from Geneva Airport to La Tania

On time both at the airport pick and return journey. Neither transfer drivers could speak any English - so there was no communication at all. The arrival driver was not familiar with La Tania and did not know the exact location of the apartments. (We did - so was not a problem for us but could have been an issue.)

Journey from Salzburg Airport to Rauris

Pick up from and to airport was great and timings were perfect. We had the same driver for both journeys who was extremely pleasant. I would definitely recommend Alpin Bus and we will use them again next time we are in Austria.
