Journey from Piza to San Gimignano

My wife and I were very pleased with the driver, who was most pleasant and courteous. Unfortunately, our late night flight was delayed by approximately one and a half hours. So, out of courtesy, I rang Special Tour NCC from my departure airport to advise them of the delay. I was advised that they would have to contact the driver to see if he was prepared to wait. They replied a short time later to be asked to pay an extra 18% on top of the originally agreed fee. I was shocked that such a fee was requested, given that flight delays must be a very regular occurrence. However, being left stranded in the early hours of the morning was not an option, and I agreed to pay the extra fee. As stated, the driver could not have been more helpful and I would query if it was his request or company policy to increase the cost of the transfer.

Reply from the transfer company:

40€ is not a shocked amount to be wait at the airport until 2 am. You’ve been informed about the extra and you accepted it (apparently only because you knowed no other companies or local taxi waited for you so late). Our driver returned at home at 6 am for you and that day he couldn’t work and you have a complain? This is not respectful for our work. For sure we have a right reason to be shocked for your complain.

Special Tour NCC provided an excellent service. They were ready and waiting on our arrival. The driver was helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the area and it’s history. His English was very good as regrettably our Italian isn’t. We would definitely recommend them to others.

Journey from Pisa Airport to hu Park Albatros village

Excellent service. Vehicle was spotlessly clean, drivers were professional and punctual. The only issue we had was that we were charged an extra €40 as our flight was delayed by an hour on arrival. It was a late flight and can understand that the driver had to wait an extra hour for our arrival but it was disappointing to be charged extra, maybe just something for others to keep in mind when booking. Apart from that we were very happy with the service provided.
