Journey from Milan Malpensa Airport to Genoa

Walter had an issue with his vehicle. He honored his booking by having us driven in a personal car. We booked him for a second trip, which he canceled two hours before he was due to collect us. He did so because I had not contacted him to confirm. I didn’t realize that was my responsibility. Bad communication.

This ride was great, and Walter did a wonderful job of communicating in advance! But one of the reasons I selected him was that his offer was for cash or credit cards, and he persistently pushed me to have cash after he'd started driving, asking, texting, and repeatedly wanting to stop at an ATM. I only had credit cards with me at the time, had no way to get cash after 10 PM at night, and with the language barrier was concerned I was going to have some sort of major problem. He was eventually able to take my credit card, but this was very stressful, especially since I honestly thought he was going to take me to an ATM at midnight. (I assume he doesn't know that in New York this card-to-cash bait-and-switch is a notorious scam some black cabs use to set people up to get robbed.) I would only select Walter again if I was willing and able to pay in cash.
